Born and raised in Columbus, GA, C-Blaq aka Blaqboi has lived and breathed music his entire life. From playing the drums in church to producing beats, it was only natural for Blaq Boi to eventually pick up the pen. Although Blaq started out rapping with groups like Da Crew, KFC and Tre Trill, in 2008 he dropped his first solo project "Southern Gumbo", followed by No Flex Zone in 2011. In 2012, C-Blaq started his label Cho Chase Entertainment, where a roster of artists such as Team Cho Chase and Scrap Nation call home. As time went on, the increasing severity of social issues, as well as his attendance at the Million Man March anniversary in DC, inspired C-Blaq to begin his #Blaq series, which consists of several albums that highlight issues within the black community as a result of poverty, racism and police brutality. The first project in the Blaq series titled "The Blaq Experience" (2015), garnered large amounts of attention to C-Blaq's profound lyricism and industry level song composition, while still speaking to the concerns of the black community. After mentally preparing his fan base to delve into these social issues, in 2016 C-Blaq followed up with "Blaq Royalty", whose album cover photo was taken at the Million Man March anniversary, and shows a young boy sitting on his dad's shoulders with a RBG Flag waving in his hand. These albums can be purchased or streamed at www.chochaseent.com, or they can be found on Itunes Google Play, Spotify and Tidal. Be on the lookout for C-Blaq aka Blaq Boi's next project, "Blaq Legacy", which drops on Black Friday of 2017.
